- Where do i begin? I have purchased various shuriken, tanto,
pocket knife, kunai, kusari gama, kyoketsu shoge, jutte (large & small), kama yari (double & triple), shuko, nin/american flag patch, indoor tabi, kyahan, and tekkou. I must say from the very first purchase of the shuko, I was amazed by how fast the product was shipped, plus how durable the equipment is. Many say that their products are top of the line. However you haven't experienced TOP OF THE LINE products until you have had the opportunity to train with a SHINOBI GEAR product. I will forever be a fan and loyal customer of this company. Last but not least, unlike many other companies, when a product isn't available (which is rare) the members of SHINOBI GEAR will contact you personally to inform you of the status of the order. Shuriken ("sword hidden in the hand") is a concealed weapon that was generally used for throwing, stabbing and slashing. They are sharpened hand-held blades made from a variety of everyday items such as flat plates of metal.
Shuriken were mainly a supplemental weapon to the more commonly used katana sword or yari spear in a warrior's arsenal, though they often played a tactical role in battle. The art of wielding the shuriken is known as shurikenjutsu.
There were many variety of shuriken that ranged in many different sizes and blades. Due to the many different styles, shuriken were used in many different ways throughout history. They might be embedded in the ground, injuring those who stepped on them (similar to a caltrop or tetsubishi), They can also be used as a handheld striking weapon in close combat or to cause a distraction to evade multiple attackers.
